The 2012 Harley-Davidson FLTRX Road Glide Custom is a 'slammed' touring bagger featuring a frame-mounted shark-nose fairing and a lowered rear profile. For the 2012 model year, the Twin Cam 103 engine became the standard powerplant for the Road Glide Custom, replacing the previous Twin Cam 96. It is distinguished from the Ultra model by its stripped-down aesthetic, lack of a Tour-Pak, and a larger 18-inch front wheel.
What Makes This Trim Special
- Exhaust Configuration — Returned to a 2-into-1-2 dual exhaust system for 2012, replacing the 2-into-1 system used in 2010-2011.
- Front Wheel — Equipped with an 18-inch Black 5-Spoke Cast Aluminum wheel, whereas the Ultra typically used a 17-inch or 16-inch wheel.
- Rear Fascia — Features a custom rear fender fascia with integrated Tri-line LED lighting.
- Windshield — Comes stock with a 'shorty' smoked wind deflector rather than a full-height touring windshield.
